Mishra is an attacking leg spinner who bowls a praised leg break and googly.Mishra was initially called into the Indian squad for the Test against the West Indies in 2002, but was not given a chance to play. He was allowed to play, however, during the TVS Cup in 2003, which took place in Dhaka. He plays for Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League. he got a hat-trick against Deccan Chargers in the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008. Mishra's best bowling stat during IPL is 4-0-17-5.
